TRACEY MAGEE

Professional Experience/Athletic background:

Tracey Magee (Head Coach and Owner) of CrossFit Clan Performance Center (CFC) has been coaching and actively competing in CrossFit for the past several years and is a CrossFit Games 2015 masters athlete.  She has over a decade of experience in the fitness industry as a personal trainer/running coach and small group trainer.  She is a passionate coach and athlete, who for many years competed at a high level as a distance runner/marathoner and adventure racer also.  It was while competing at one of these events (Civilian Military Combine) that she was first introduced to CrossFit.  With CrossFit’s unique methodology and balanced approached to fitness training, she was instantly hooked. She finally found a home in Parsippany, where she has coached and trained since 2012.

Family:

They are my everything...I wouldn't be where I am today without the love and support of my beautiful children and my amazing husband, as well as my 3 sisters and 3 brothers in Europe.  We CrossFit together as often as we can because a family that WODs together stays together.

Why you love CrossFit/Coaching?:

There is nothing more rewarding to me as a coach than to help my athletes/clients realize there potential and see them reach and exceed the goals they have set for themselves.

Life and/or fitness goals:

To inspire others as I have been inspired.

What inspires you?:

Human perseverance, the wonder of the human body and spirit to rise above adversity and succeed against all odds...I see it everyday in the athletes I train.

Favorite or Personal quote:

“Excellence is the gradual result of always striving to do better.”– Pat Riley

Favorite WODs/movements:

Nancy, Linda, Murph, muscle-ups & squats...always be squatting and nothing beats a full-body gymnasts movement to build a strong and balanced body.
